Steel offshore plates
We stock a wide range of steel plates in offshore grades. All our offshore steel plates are delivered with a 3.2 certificate (mainly DNV) and are from Western European mills.
See the various dimensions and grades of the steel plates in the table below. Note that S355MLO & S460MLO is the new designation of the quality S355G10+M & S460G2+M.
New to our program are offshore plates in the grade API 2W Grade 50 and API 2W Grade 60.
he material is used in the production of floating and rigid offshore oil and gas platforms and is used commonly in intersections of the structure due to the materials superior strength combined with good impact and fatigue resistance.
Equivalent for API 2W Grade 50 is EN10225 – S355MLO.
Equivalent for API 2W Grade 60 is EN10225 – S460MLO.
all the API 2W Grade 50 we will supply from West European mills & with a 3.2 certificate.
please note that our plates in S355MLO / S355ML, S420MLO / S420ML, S460MLO / S460ML + API 2W Grade 50 & API 2W Grade 60 are with:
- TTP / Z35 Test (thickness 15mm +)
- UT Test S2/E3 or better
- EN10204 – 3.2
- charpy value Min 41J at -40 °C
- heat treatment TMCP / Normalized
